How to Calculate Age
Age is calculated as of the closing date of online application. Your age should be calculated as:
Age = Closing Date - Date of Birth
Example:
If your date of birth is 15 June 1985 and closing date is 30 April 2026, then your age would be 40 years and 10 months (approximately 40 years).

Special Age Relaxation Cases
Ex-Servicemen
Ex-servicemen are eligible for age relaxation equal to the period of service plus 3 years (maximum 5 years). A discharge certificate or service certificate from the military is required as proof.
Persons with Disability (PWD)
Persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for 10 years of age relaxation. A certificate from Chief Medical Officer or authorized medical board is required.
Government Employees
In-service government employees applying for higher positions may be eligible for age relaxation as per specific rules mentioned in the notification.
